I have seen people use their mobile phones as a modem, what I would like to know is that is this possiable with every mobile phone? I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 mobile phone if I inserted a 3G sim inside it can it used as a modem and if so how to I connect it to my desktop. Please advise what all cables are required to do this.

If you have a WLAN card in your desktop computer then just turn on wifi tethering on your phone and connect using wifi. If you dont have WLAN card in your desktop then just use the USB cable that came with the phone and choose the USB tethering option instead of wifi. Your computer should be able to detect the connection and use it automatically. Do let me know if you still cannot figure out and I would be happy to help you out.
